Getting ready for Gustav has been exhausting. People are rushing like mad in the event that the storm will hit us. I’m personally not too concerned since we are inland and there is no threat of a surge. 
However, other people’s preparations are making general life a bit hairy! Normal grocery shopping became impossible as the shelves were empty, the lines ridiculous, and the attitudes even worse! Everyone is purchasing the required items for their hurricane kit; if it comes to that I will be in trouble! 
Getting gas is already hard because people are in a mild panic due to the post traumatic stress of Hurricane Katrina. I’ll be glad when the scare is over and we can get back to normal. However, after Hurricane Fay this year I think we definitely learned some lessons from a fellow in Florida on what not to do in a storm!
